Bill grew up in North Pole, AK racing dirt bikes and snowmobiles. It was apparent from a young age he had a need for speed. His sprint car career started later than most, getting into his first car at age 20. Bill quickly fell in love with the sport and moved down to Washington to pursue his passion further. Bill would eventually end up in Wisconsin where he joined the IRA Sprint car series and has become the winningest feature winner to date.

GR Motorsports was established in 1992 by Bill and Vicki Gross. Bill and Vicki have 7 boys (Jason, Jeremy, Jared, Justin, John, Jordan, and Jamison)
that take part in this very demanding sport. Jason and Jeremy are the full time Modified drivers. As for the rest of them, well they get stuck with the "grunt" work. |

Neil started his racing career at the age of 3yrs old, racing snowmobiles in the Wisconsin and Minnesota snocross circuits. As he got a little older, his interest in cars lead him to trying out a Jr. Sprint for part of the season and then at 13 moving into the 4- cylinder Hornet class. Now he is competing in his new Anderson Pure Maple Syrup Wissota Midwest Modified. He plans to run at a couple of the local tracks in Northern Wisconsin throughout the season.
